Collection Société d'histoire de Pointe-Saint-Charles, (3e édition)
Auteur: Société d'histoire de Pointe-Saint-Charles

Streets names in Point Saint Charles are a true reflection of the diversified history of both our community and the City of Montreal. The majority of street names honour French, English, Scottish and Irish indifivuals; as well as indicate various geographical points like Centre St. and occasionally historical events like Sebastopol St.
They include streets named after institutions like Congregation St. and even recent Montreal Canadian Hockey personalities like Dick Irvin St.

The common theme is that this collection of street names relates directly to our shared history as both Point residents, and as citizens of the Greater Montreal area.

I would hope that as you review this booklet, you take a moment to reflect on the history ou our neighbourhood - as it welcomes many newcomers, and cultures, from all over the world, who will, in turn, certainly contribute to the evolving history of Point Saint Charles.
